Benjamin Steiger
Research Analyst II, TerraFund, Global Restoration Initiative
Ben Steiger is a Research Analyst II in the Global Restoration Initiative. He works on the TerraFund team, structuring and analyzing data from land restoration champions across Africa and India.
Prior to joining WRI, Ben worked as a staff researcher in environmental health sciences at Columbia University, examining the health impacts of wildfire disasters. He has worked as a data analyst in the Early Lung and Cardiac Action Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has been published in Nature Energy, Epidemiology, and other publications.
Ben holds an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences with a certificate in Climate & Health from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. He received his BS in Biology with certificates in Global Health and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Ben is an avid runner, outdoor enthusiast, and climate activist.
