Amy is a Research Associate for the Ocean Program at World Resources Institute (WRI). As part of the Ocean Science to Policy sub-team, Amy works closely with governments, NGOs, and IGOs to communicate on best practices for the protection and sustainable use of the ocean. Her research topics include financing for the sustainable ocean economy, marine protected areas, and sustainable ocean planning. As part of the Secretariat for the High Level Panel for the Sustainable Ocean Economy (Ocean Panel), Amy leads the production of the Progress Reports – a review of the advances made by the Ocean Panel members every 2 years towards transitioning to the sustainable ocean economy.

Amy holds an MSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton, and a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford. Her university research took her as far as Honduras, where she spent her second-year summer studying cleaner shrimp.

In her free time, she enjoys playing netball, going hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
