Amanda Obuobi Amoako is the Portfolio Specialist, TerraFund for AFR100, Restoration Initiative in the Ghana Cocoa Belt region. In this role, Amanda plays a crucial role in supporting and overseeing a cohort of community-based organizations and small to medium enterprises that are restoring degraded land across AFR100. She collaborates with a team of sector experts to evaluate, assess, and interview organizations seeking funding and capacity training to restore priority landscapes within AFR100.

Prior to joining WRI, Amanda worked as an Account Manager at Farmerline, where she effectively coordinated and managed several long-term sustainability projects. In this role, Amanda ensured farmers were well-informed about guidelines pertaining to child labor, nature protection, and climate change using agricultural technology intelligence to create lasting profits for farmers.

Amanda also gained valuable experience during her five-year tenure at MDF West Africa, where she provided advisory, enterprise development, and partnership services to both local and international NGOs and organizations operating in West Africa.

She holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and a B.Sc. in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

During her leisure time, Amanda enjoys reading and traveling.
