Alyssa is the Platform Manager for Global Forest Watch (GFW), where she leads the platform vision and team to make forest data and information more accessible, actionable, and relevant for GFW’s >1 million users.

Prior to joining WRI, Alyssa worked at Save the Children supporting a USAID-funded newborn and maternal health project. Previously, she supported environmental lobbying efforts at Colorado Conservation Votes, researched energy consumption on the Galápagos Islands, and taught English in Costa Rica.

Alyssa holds a Master of Development Practice from the Joseph Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver and a B.A. in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Colorado.

Alyssa lives in San Francisco and can be found exploring the city, trying new restaurants, traveling, or doing just about anything outdoors in her free time.
