Achieving the transformative goals of the Paris Agreement requires aligning short-term nationally determined contributions (NDCs) with long-term strategies (LTS) that promote a just and sustainable transition. This session, organized by C40 Cities, the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy and WRI, will explore how countries are integrating their long-term climate visions into concrete multilevel partnership frameworks—linking national policies with subnational implementation and fostering collaboration across sectors and regions.
