Circular Food Systems for Rwanda: Opportunities for Impact
A circular food system could bring big benefits to Rwanda. What is the role of SMEs in driving the transition, and what are the policy barriers to be overcome?
Hosted by WRI and PACE, this session will explore insights from research into the potential for a circular food system for Rwanda. Panelists, including representatives from Rwandan SMEs, will discuss what kind of support is needed by SMEs driving innovation in this space, and the role of policy to create a strong enabling environment.
The session is organized as part of the Circular Food Systems for Rwanda project, led by WRI and supported by the IKEA Foundation. Other project partners are PACE, African Circular Economy Alliance, African Circular Economy Network, Resonance, and Cleaner Production and Climate Innovation Centre. The project is delivered in close cooperation with the Government of Rwanda.
This event is an Accelerator Session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2022 (www.WCEF2022.com).
Speakers to be announced.
