Using Satellite Imagery to Investigate Deforestation on GFW
Did you know that in addition to the variety of deforestation alert systems available on GFW, you can also access satellite imagery to help validate and investigate forest change? Join experts from GFW, KSAT and Planet Labs to learn more about how you can use satellite imagery to determine what’s happening in the world’s forests.
During this webinar, we’ll share an overview of the satellite imagery resources available on GFW and how you can use them, a deep dive into Planet’s high-resolution satellite imagery and how you can access it on Explorer, and a look into how alert systems and satellite imagery have been paired in the past.
All registrants will receive a copy of the webinar recording even if they cannot join live.
This webinar will build off the “Advances in Forest Monitoring Alert Systems” webinar, which provided an overview of the key forest monitoring alert systems available on GFW. Watch recording
