Cities around the world lack the resources and data to track their air pollution. In fact, many of the places with the highest level of pollution have the least information to work with to know their air quality and manage it accordingly.

CityAQ is a partnership between WRI, NASA's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (NASA-GMAO) and eight cities to generate air quality forecasts. The project combines locally available air quality monitoring information with global satellite modeling to provide cost-effective, reliable and timely data to air quality and health professionals.

In this webinar, Secretaries of Environment from Bogota, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Quito and the Mayor of Leon will share their experiences in scaling up real-time air quality forecasting with CityAQ partners.

The discussion will take place in Spanish with English translation. We look forward to sharing lessons learned and next steps for CityAQ.
