Under the Paris Agreement, countries are expected to submit nationally determined contributions (NDC) in 2020, including new or updated submissions. Enhancing NDCs next year is an opportunity for countries to put us on the path to a trajectory to limit temperature rise to 1.5 degrees C and to seize the economic and development opportunities from strengthened action.

Speakers will explain how to develop enhanced NDCs using the new publication Enhancing NDCs: A Guide to Strengthening National Climate Plans, describe specific ways that sectoral efforts can be incorporated into strengthened climate plans, and share how countries can secure assistance to help with this process through the NDC Partnership’s Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP).
