World Water Week: Data Analytics and Visualization to Address Energy-Food-Water Risk
Moving beyond discussions of the water, food, energy nexus requires quantitative data analytics and visualization coupled with effective communications. Only through a rigorous evaluation of data supported by visualization tools can we develop long term strategies to address how water scarcity, food security and energy security.
Applying rigorous data analytics and visualization tools can be used to identify areas for high risk and identify areas for integrated resource planning. The visualization tools can be very powerful in mobilizing private and public sector entities to focus on water efficiency, energy production and sustainable agricultural practices through collective action.
The event will consist of stakeholders in the agricultural sector, food and beverage companies, retail and consulting (Deloitte) along with an NGO such as WWF.
