Weiqi is a research analyst with Research, Data & Innovation at WRI China and Resource Watch. She supports the data-driven projects in the China office, and also assists in the development and management of Resource Watch.

Prior to joining WRI China, Weiqi supported the data management of Resource Watch by updating geospatial datasets, maintaining near real-time scripts, and conducting data analysis for projects. Weiqi also worked as a research associate at the University of Michigan and conducted research on the application of high-resolution remote sensing imagery and machine learning in sustainable agriculture.

Weiqi holds a B.S. in Geographical Information Science from Wuhan University, and an MSc in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan. In her free time, Weiqi enjoys watching movies and hiking.
