Virginia Snyder
Research Assistant, Global Restoration Initiative
Virginia Snyder is a Research Assistant for the Global Restoration Initiative within the Forest program. She supports GRI’s research strategy and coordinates the continued development and internal publication of the Monitoring, Reporting, Verification (MRV) framework for TerraFund.
Virginia previously worked as a Research Intern for the Initiative under the Invest pillar, providing project coordination, data management and analysis, and program material development for the capacity building and investment programs, the Land Accelerator and TerraFund.
Outside WRI, her prior research experience centered around communal land tenure regimes and agro-ecological security in Peru and agricultural development in coastal Madagascar.
Virginia graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service, concentrating on natural resource management and sustainable development.
She is based in D.C. and loves to garden, bake, and camp in her free time.
