Virginia Snyder
Research Analyst, Global Restoration Initiative

Virginia Snyder is a Research Analyst for the Global Restoration Initiative within the Food, Land, and Water program. She supports Restoration’s research and scaling strategies and is currently leading the internal publication of the Monitoring, Reporting, Verification (MRV) framework for TerraFund, an investment and capacity strengthening program for local restoration organizations in Africa.
Virginia previously worked as a Research Intern for Restoration under the Invest pillar, providing project coordination, data management and analysis, and program material development support for TerraFund.
Outside WRI, her prior research experience centered around communal land tenure regimes and agro-ecological security in Peru and agricultural development in coastal Madagascar.
Virginia graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service, concentrating on natural resource management and global development.
She is based in D.C. and loves to garden, bake, and camp in her free time.
