Vinamra Bharadwaj is a Junior Project Associate with the GeoAnalytics team in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at World Resources Institute India. Here, he is involved in the development of the Socioeconomic Dashboard for India and supports various policy formulation and planning-related projects with RS and GIS data collection, cleaning, analysis and visualization.

Prior to joining WRI India, Vinamra worked as an intern for the Geospatial Lab at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), Bengaluru. He collaborated with various teams at IIHS on the identification of potential urban areas in Rajasthan as part of the Chief Minister Rajasthan Economic Transformation Advisory Council (CRMETAC). He was also involved in various multidisciplinary projects like Bhopal metro and Smart City.

Vinamra holds a master’s in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO, Dehradun. As part of his M.Tech. dissertation, he developed a Decision Support System for urban heating and sustainability for the 53 metropolitan urban agglomerations in India. Vinamra also holds a Bachelor of Planning degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada.

In his spare time, he likes to travel, explore new cuisine and watch movies.
