Tea Tuur heads the Product Design function within WRI's Data Lab. In her role, she leads the user interface and user experience design for Data Lab products and runs the Product Studio, a service that helps researchers and sustainable development teams to design and scale innovative new data-enabled tools.

Prior to joining WRI, Tea has worked as a Design Thinker for the Satellite Applications Catapult, founded Impactspace – an innovation consultancy advising the UK space sector – and as a Product Manager and Design Lead for various impact technology businesses which specialize in applying cutting-edge technology to tackle sustainable development challenges. She is a strong advocate for creativity, cross-disciplinary collaboration and intellectual diversity for truly innovative solutions that merge technology with sociocultural considerations.

Tea holds an MSc in Design and Engineering from the Tallinn University of Technology and Estonian Academy of Arts – a programme that is founded upon the synergies and benefits gained through the integration of Art, Design and Science.

She spends her free time playing tennis, learning the cello and vacationing on her home island Hiiumaa in Estonia.
