Taylor Symes
Communications Specialist, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities

Taylor Symes is a Communications Specialist at WRI Ross Center For Sustainable Cities. She supports the WRI Ross Center’s global communications team through a variety of internal and external tasks including blog and website editing, content creation, email marketing and social media support.
Prior to joining WRI, Taylor worked as a Communications Associate at Synergos where she focused on collecting, producing and sharing stories about the organization’s various global projects and events. She also previously served as a Multi-Faith Fellow for the International Religious Freedom (IRF) Secretariat where she helped convene international religious advocates and leaders to collectively advocate for freedom of religion and belief across the globe. Throughout her early professional career, Taylor prioritizes both her passion for writing and her desire to aid in the elimination of global, social inequalities.
Taylor holds a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Eastern University and an M.A. in United Nations and Global Studies with dual concentrations in "Democracy, Participation and Community" and "Human Rights, Gender Equality and International Law" from Rutgers University.
She currently resides in Northwest Philadelphia with her significant other and their two cats, Chickie and Stache.
