Tarannum Sarwat Sahar
Energy Access Explorer Intern

Tarannum Sarwat Sahar is an intern in the Energy Program supporting the Energy Access Explorer (EAE) initiative.
Tarannum is a graduate student at UC Berkeley, pursuing concurrent Master degrees in Public Policy and Energy Systems. She served as a researcher at the UC Berkeley Goldman School's Center for Environmental Public Policy, where she focused on port and freight decarbonization, and the impact of pollution on near-port underserved communities.
Tarannum holds a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. In 2021, she served as Fulbright fellow in Lesotho studying micro hydro resources for energy access.
In her spare time, Tarannum loves to spend time with her family and friends, explore the outdoors, and play the violin.
