Solomon Negusse
API Software Engineer, Data Lab
Solomon is a Software Engineer with the Data Lab team in the Research, Data, and Innovation department. He builds and maintains Application Programming Interfaces (API) for managing, analyzing and serving out high resolution spatio-temporal data that are displayed in the Global Forest Watch and Resource Watch portals.
Prior to joining WRI, Solomon worked as a full-stack Software Engineer with the Texas Water Development Board, where he built the state’s water data portal and tools for processing lake hydrographic survey data for volumetric and sedimentation estimation.
Solomon holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with focus on Water Resources from the University Of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Asmara, Eritrea.
Solomon is from Asmara, Eritrea and currently lives in Austin, TX.
