Sofwan Hakim
Senior Lead, Program Management Unit in Bali, WRI Indonesia
Sofwan serves as Senior Lead of Bali Project Management Unit. He leads collaborations with key stakeholders and various efforts aimed at low carbon development in Bali through transitions to renewable energy, electric mobility, and climate entrepreneurship.
Before joining WRI Indonesia, he worked for Delterra (an NGO based in Bali focusing on waste management) as Partnership Lead, where he led coordination with funders, fundraising, and partnership activities. Sofwan has ten years of experience with various international development agencies such as the World Bank, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and Millennium Challenge Account-Indonesia (MCA-Indonesia), mostly focusing on urban infrastructure and land use programs.
Sofwan graduated from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne in France with an M.Sc. in Applied Economics and a B.Eng from Bandung Institute of Technology in Urban and Regional Planning.
Outside of work, he enjoys trail running and is an advanced certified diver who has done more than 200 logs.
