Simone Fine is the Project Coordinator for WRI's Data Lab. In this role, she manages the AI for Impact project, ensuring its operational and budgetary integrity. Previously, she worked as a Grants and Finance Specialist for the Climate Adaptation and Resilience team. 

Before joining WRI, Simone was a Portfolio Manager at AmeriCorps, the federal agency dedicated to national service and volunteerism. Simone also spent the better part of a decade teaching in traditional and non-traditional educational institutions including Knowledge Commons DC, Citizens Schools, and Durham Public Schools. 

Simone holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pitzer College and a master's degree in teaching from Duke University. She is based in Durham, North Carolina.
