Silviya is a Grants and Finance Specialist for the Food, Forest, Water, and Ocean program. She provides grants, contracts, and financial management, including budget development and monitoring, project reporting and subaward management.

Prior to joining WRI, Silviya worked with a number of organizations in the US, Kosovo, and Bulgaria. Over the past 11 years she has built up diverse experience in accounting, grants and financial management, organizational development and strengthening. She has managed projects in various fields, such as maternal health, social inclusion, citizen participation, media literacy, volunteer engagement, education, and youth development.

Silviya holds a B.A. in International Finance from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a MBA from Pepperdine University, CA.

Silviya lives in Northern Virginia with her family. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading Dr. Seuss books with her son.
