Sarah Bell is the Development Specialist with the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities program. She works to support resource mobilization efforts through development operations management, proposal development, and through donor stewardship and engagement strategies. As a member of the Cities Development team, she works with the Strategy and Partnerships team to assist with program management and in tracking and evaluating program impact.

Prior to joining the WRI Cities team, Sarah worked in development and operations for a number of nonprofit organizations that centered on community development, promoting civic engagement, expanding social services, and increasing conservation programs. Within these roles, she led efforts to strengthen donor relations and engagement levels, structured and executed fundraising strategies and events, and managed grant administrative processes, including the researching, writing, and tracking of organizational grant funding. She served on the board of directors of the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault, where she gained a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit organization development.

Sarah received her M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in both Peace and Conflict Studies and Political Science, with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, from the University of Utah.

Sarah lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
