Samantha is a Development Specialist. She supports the Individual Philanthropy team in its efforts to build and strengthen relationships with individual and family foundation donors. Her role involves cultivation and stewardship, communications and outreach, and managing logistics for the team and WRI's Global Leadership Council.

Prior to joining WRI, Sam served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Canyonlands Field Institute in Moab, Utah. There, she secured grant and donor funding to expand outdoor education for underserved youth, in addition to leading service projects and increasing community outreach. She also worked as an intern at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to support intergovernmental and state partnerships.

Sam holds a B.A. in International Affairs from James Madison University.

She calls the Chesapeake Bay area home, and in her spare time enjoys exploring its public lands and waterways.
