Ryan O’Connor is a Climate Resilience Fellow with the Climate Resilience Practice in the Governance Center. Ryan works to support the Climate Resilience Practice and the Global Commission on Adaptation in researching and promoting global climate change resilience.

Before joining WRI, Ryan worked as a research intern at the German-American Heritage Museum in Washington, DC. He helped staff prepare for online events and compiled information for the museum’s virtual mapping project. Ryan has also worked with the Historic Ships in Baltimore museum in Baltimore, MD, where he helped run exhibits and engage with visitors.

Ryan is currently a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is working towards a B.A. Double Degree in International Relations and Germanic Studies, with a minor in History, and expects to graduate in May of 2021. Ryan is an alumnus of the University of Maryland’s Honors College and Language House, and is a current member of the Global Fellows in Washington, DC Program.

Ryan lives in Parkville, MD with his family and many pets.
