Reynolds Kihura is the Data & Product Strategist for the Cities Program under WRI Africa where he guides the strategic direction of data products and programs working closely with WRI Data Lab & Urban Data & Tools team in WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities.

Prior to joining WRI, Reynolds worked as a Senior Project Manager for Wingspan consultancy, a specialized healthcare management consultancy firm spearheading market research, product development, product innovation & data strategy initiatives for some of the leading health insurance companies in Kenya. One of the key projects he led was the Data Harmonization Market Study that paved the way for the development of the Health Data Information Exchange system in Kenya for the Insurance Industry. Prior to this, Reynolds has served as a programs and product manager for various programs under the following organizations: Skillshub Africa, Generation Kenya (USAID), Basic Employability Skills Training (BEST) Program (Mastercard Foundation) and Financial Education Program (FEP) by Standard Chartered Bank Kenya.

Reynolds holds a bachelor's degree from Kenyatta University in Economics & Finance and Diploma in accounting from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

In his spare time, Reynolds enjoys nature walks, trying out new recipes and swimming. Reynolds is an avid reader and a firm believer in the Namibian proverb “Learning makes a great soul.”
