Natalie von Turkovich is an intern for the Cities4Forests and Natural Infrastructure team. During her time with WRI she will contribute a large effort of her work to a project assessing Nature-Based Solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Natalie is a current Master of Environmental Management student at Duke University where she is focusing in Water Resource Management and International Development Policy. During her time at Duke, she has been working for the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions where she has contributed to the Internet of Water initiative as a research assistant.

Prior to beginning her master’s degree, she was working in the international travel industry coordinating programs and managing projects on the ground. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she fell in love with the mountains. She also loves to travel and believes the world is best experienced from the two wheels of a bicycle.
