Millie Howard is a Communications Intern on the US Energy team. To support the team's efforts toward a just transition to renewable energy, they produce and edit content, contribute to editorial strategy development, and assist with event planning and social media.

Before working with WRI, Millie was an Environmental Justice, GIS, and Data Analysis Intern with the New York State Office of the Attorney General's Environmental Protection Bureau. In this role, they conducted environmental justice research, spatial analysis, and data analysis to support the EPB's science team and overall litigation efforts.

Millie graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in Environmental Science & Policy, where she had a focus in Climate Justice and Political Ecology. She also completed a minor in (Mandarin) Chinese and a concentration in Community Engagement and Social Change. Millie enjoyed a brief residence in Taipei, Taiwan for language immersion and enjoys dance classes and gardening in her free time.
