Meire Mateus de Lima is a Restoration Specialist at WRI Brazil. She is part of the Forests and Land Use team and collaborates technically and methodologically on projects focused on restoration actions, in addition to institutionally representing WRI at meetings and events.

Before joining WRI Brazil, Meire worked in private institutions, civil society organizations, and public initiatives, accumulating solid experience in the management, coordination, and implementation of ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable territorial development projects, focusing on the Amazon, Atlantic Forest, and Cerrado biomes. Her professional trajectory also includes conducting strategic planning, preparing and reviewing technical proposals, documents, and reports, facilitating technical training, organizing and mediating meetings and events, managing conflicts, developing teams, and extensive inter-institutional coordination.

Meire holds a degree in Ecology and a master's degree in Geosciences and Environment from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), a specialization in Environmental Management in Municipalities from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), and an MBA in Project Management from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP).
