Matthew Cronin
Project Coordinator II
Matthew Cronin is a Project Coordinator II in WRI’s Climate Program. He supports the US Climate Initiative with financial management and budgeting, effective management of grants in accordance with funder requirements, and logistics. Additionally, Matthew supports the development of new project proposals with budgeting and coordination of proposal packages.
Prior to joining WRI, Matthew supported peacebuilding and development programs in Yemen with the International Center for Religion & Diplomacy (ICRD). With ICRD, he managed program budgets and finances, designed and managed Monitoring & Evaluation plans, and developed funding proposals. He has three years’ experience researching and working in the Middle East & North Africa, where he grew a keen interest in climate action and renewable energy infrastructure.
Matthew holds an M.A. in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and a B.A. from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys hiking mountains, painting landscapes, writing code, baking baklava, and making frequent trips to Lebanon.
