Maizaldi is a Fisheries Graduate from Universitas Riau with an interest in the social life of rural communities and the challenges of the wilderness. Since his college days, he has been engaged in traveling to villages and adventure activities such as mountain climbing, jungle expeditions, and diving.

After completing his undergraduate studies in 2012, he worked as a community facilitator at a local NGO in Pekanbaru until 2015. He then continued my career as a community facilitator with various NGOs in Riau Province, and he was involved in various consortium projects for mitigating forest and land fires (karhutla)) in Riau Province, until he joined WRI Indonesia Regional Riau in 2020.

As a facilitator who loves his job based on a hobby, building a community paradigm for a better and more sustainable life is his main vision that he always promote wherever he goes. Therefore, the improvement in the quality of life of the community is the greatest achievement in his work and motivates him to continue dedicating myself to facilitating rural communities.
