Madhavi Ganeshan
Chief of Staff, Executive Office
Madhavi is the Chief of Staff and advisor to the President and CEO of WRI. She oversees the President's full range of external and internal engagements. She is also responsible for tracking, analyzing and providing guidance to the President and the leadership on strategic, programmatic and operational issues to ensure that the most significant needs of the Institute are prioritized.
Prior to this, Madhavi was the Director of Engagement at WRI, where she led and supported the Institute's global efforts on strategic engagement and impact strategy, with a special focus on the Global Climate program including the New Climate Economy (NCE) serving as the Head of Engagement for the former NCE Global Commission on Economy and Climate. She was also part of WRI's Core Communications team.
Madhavi has years of experience in strategic engagement and building partnerships. Prior to joining WRI, Madhavi was with the United Nations Foundation supporting key UN initiatives including Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL). Her past experiences include working for key initiatives and events in global non-profits and private sector in multiple countries.
Madhavi holds a Master's in International Relations and a Master's in International Business from Macquarie University, Australia and a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Pune University, India. She loves to travel and cook and lives in Virginia (VA) with her husband and daughter.
