Lucy Yang
Communications and Research Specialist, Executive Office

Lucy Yang is a Communications and Research Specialist in the Executive Office. She works to create cohesive and impactful messaging around WRI’s work and mission, supporting the President and CEO’s external communications and strategic high-level engagements.
Prior to joining WRI, Lucy worked as a Communications Intern at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) North America Office. In this role, Lucy conducted stakeholder and public outreach while assisting in the coordination and implementation of regional environmental campaigns across a diverse portfolio of topics, including climate justice and ecosystem restoration.
Lucy holds a B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Comparative Literary Studies from Northwestern University. She was also a Yenching Fellow, recently graduating from Peking University with a Master's degree in China Studies with a concentration in Economics and Management.
