Lucy Yang is a Communications and Research Associate in the Executive Office. She supports the President and CEO’s strategic communications and engagements, developing impactful, evidence-based messaging and storytelling to further WRI’s mission for people, nature and climate.

Prior to joining WRI, Lucy worked as a Communications Intern at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) North America Office. In this role, Lucy conducted stakeholder and public outreach while assisting in the coordination and implementation of regional communications campaigns, covering topics such as climate justice and ecosystem restoration.

Lucy holds a B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Comparative Literary Studies from Northwestern University and a Master's degree in China Studies with a concentration in Economics and Management from Peking University.
