Lucas Richard-Carvajal
Project Associate, Country Transitions

Lucas Richard-Carvajal is a Project Associate in the Climate department. He provides financial, and operational support to the National Climate Action team.
Prior to joining WRI, Lucas worked as a Regional Administrative Assistant at the National Democratic Institute where he provided financial and operational support to the Latin America and Caribbean closed society programs. He has also previously worked at the Carter Center, performing research and administrative support to their Venezuela program, and interned with Guernica 37, researching environmental crime in Colombia.
Lucas holds a B.A. in International Relations, with a minor in Classical Civilizations, from Emory University in Atlanta.
Lucas lives in Washington, DC and is an avid home chef.
