Lilyana Gabrielse
Clean Energy Research Analyst, WRI U.S. Polsky Energy Center

Lilyana Gabrielse is a Clean Energy Research Analyst with the U.S. Energy Team. She supports clean energy adoption and acceleration by assisting local governments with their sustainability and energy goals.
Prior to joining WRI, Lilyana worked for an implementing partner of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As a member of the program management team, she supported the design and implementation of energy programs in the Balkans, Nigeria, and Lebanon. Working in these contexts inspired her passion for supporting climate justice and alleviating energy poverty through the green energy transition.
Lilyana holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Affairs from the George Washington University. There she worked at the Institute of International Economic Policy (IIEP), where she focused on issues at the nexus of economics, climate change, and geopolitics.
She lives in Virginia with her husband and two cats. She enjoys vegan cooking, reading, and playing pickleball in her free time.
