Lawrence Ng'ang'a
AFR100 Restoration Monitoring Associate, WRI Africa
Lawrence Eric Ng’ang’a is the AFR100 Restoration Monitoring Associate, Forest Program.
Prior to joining WRI, Lawrence worked as a Senior Data officer for RCMRD supporting the acquisition, management, value addition, dissemination of geospatial as well as capacity building on open-source tools data, and applications to RCMRD 20 member countries in East and Southern Africa. Previously he also worked on the (WAVES) Wealth and Valuation of Ecosystem Services project in Rwanda, (SLEEK) System for Land-based Emissions Estimation in Kenya, and SERVIR Green House Gases land cover mapping for 9 Countries in East and Southern Africa.
Lawrence holds a Master’s Degree from Nairobi University in Geographic Information Systems, Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management, and several certificates in GIS and remote sensing applications.
In his spare time, Lawrence is a big fan of hiking and outdoor activities.
Lawrence lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
