Lauren Oschman is the Development Associate for the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU). In this role, Lauren leads major fundraising projects to support a large and growing coalition grant portfolio (including nine global partners and seven country platforms) to transform food and land use for people, nature, and climate.

Prior to WRI, Lauren spent over eight years with the U.S. Department of State Office of Global Change, most recently leading the procurement and compliance of a portfolio of climate adaptation, clean energy, and sustainable landscapes projects in 95 countries. She also worked at Rare for four years, leading fundraising and relationship management with high-value U.S. and European foundations for conservation, small-scale fisheries, and regenerative agriculture programs. Lauren has held internships with the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Counterpart International, and Peace Corps headquarters.

Lauren has a BA in History and French from Furman University, an MA in International Affairs from the George Washington University, a Graduate Certificate in Forest Carbon Science, Policy, and Management from Michigan State University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, weightlifting, book club, and scuba diving.
