Klara Nilsson is a Senior Communications Associate, working for The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU). In this role, she leads on FOLU’s communication work, including social media management, content writing, engagement efforts to elevate inspiring stories, deepen dialog, and strategic and creative thinking to support action towards a transformed, resilient food system.

Klara brings with her experience in creative writing, media, development work, and business. Curious and artistic, she began her journey as a storyteller in the theatre and has ever since been driven by the power of narratives. Having lived in multiple countries, Klara holds global fluency and approaches every situation with an open mind. As a longstanding advocate for sustainable development, she further developed her communications skills during an internship with the United Nations and is today committed to creating a better future for all.

She holds a BA in Communications and Business from Pace University, New York, and speaks English, Swedish, Spanish and basic French.

When she is not working, Klara enjoys long walks in the countryside, poetry, skiing and country music. Fun fact: During her gap year, Klara travelled to India and Sri Lanka, where she volunteered at rural schools and acted in a Bollywood film!
