Kathleen Shelton works with high net worth individuals and family foundations to increase philanthropic support for WRI.

Prior to joining WRI, Kathleen served as director of major gifts at Denison University; as vice president of development for Mercy Corps, an international humanitarian aid and development organization; and as senior vice president of The Greenwood Company, a fundraising management and campaign consulting firm based in San Francisco. She began her career at Oregon Health & Science University, where she led philanthropic programs for women's and children's health.

Kathleen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in writing from Denison University and a Master of Public Health degree from Oregon Health & Science University/Portland State University.

Kathleen is based in Portland, Oregon. She is an avid fly fisher, lover of live music, and active urban gardener.
