In her capacity as Knowledge Management Officer for the Global Restoration Initiative, Kate manages internal communications and knowledge management systems across a dynamic global team. She supports the initiative's mission of restoring degraded landscapes by connecting internal knowledge with communication efforts, helping to advance WRI's goal of restoring 33 million hectares of forests and agricultural land.

Prior to joining WRI, Kate worked at Antara Health in Nairobi, designing and building a communications and analytics system used to bring healthcare to Kenyans across the country. For over a decade, she produced scripted television, developing social impact-themed content primarily for Carousel Television and First Look Media. Additionally, she consulted for US Solar Energy and volunteered with the World Food Programme to develop a childhood nutrition curriculum in Kyrgyzstan.

Kate holds an MPA in Environmental Science & Policy from Columbia University, an MBA from Duke University, and a BFA in Film & Television from NYU.

In her spare time, Kate can likely be found skiing, riding a horse, taking a walk in the woods with her dog Huck, or geeking out over the etymology of the latest Wordle.
