Kar López (Karla Lorena López Ferro) is the Editorial and Content Coordinator for WRI México. They are responsible for coordinating and supervising all written and editorial content that is produced in the organization, either to be published at WRI México’s webpage or externally.

Kar began their journalistic career at Radio Capital and Difusión Cultural UNAM, where they collaborated as a booth assistant and reporter. They later worked as deputy editor of global news at Reforma, as research assistant at the University of Manchester, and as a multimedia editor and translator at the English desks of the news agencies Xinhua and EFE. They represented Mexican journalists as a speaker at the World Journalists’ Conference 2015 in South Korea.

Kar holds a Master's degree in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response from the University of Manchester and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Escuela de Periodismo Carlos Septién García. They also hold a diploma in Designing relief projects in Conflict and Disasters Settings from CRASH, MSF Foundation, and in Democracy, National Security, and Human Rights from the Universidad Iberoamericana.
