Justine Spore
GIS Research Associate I
Justine Spore is a GIS Analyst II for the Forests Program's Restoration team at WRI. She provides technical support for the development and integration of remote sensing datasets for monitoring efforts of forest and landscape restoration across a variety of WRI's projects.
Before joining WRI, Justine worked on deforestation detection and monitoring in the Amazon using high-resolution satellite imagery and automated alerts to identify patterns and trends across the region. She has also worked previously on projects assessing water quality and water resources management with remote sensing.
She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Environmental Studies and a M.S. in Environmental Observation and Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Justine enjoys cycling, birding, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers.
