John Jaoko
Senior Crop Data Analyst, WRI Africa
John is a Senior Crop Data Analyst with the Food Program team, based in Nairobi. He supports research work on jurisdictional crop-type mapping, yield monitoring, food gap analysis, and sustainable yield increase methods.
Prior to joining WRI, John worked as the Regional Data Assistant for East Africa at the Famine Early Warning System Network (FEWS NET). He also worked as a Data Analyst at Endless Africa Limited, and as a Program Coordinator at the Regional Agricultural Trade Intelligence Network (RATIN). In these roles, he was responsible for data systems management, data analysis, market intelligence, and research.
John holds an Msc in Environmental Science from Maseno University and a BA in Geography from Moi University in Kenya.
In his spare time, he enjoys nature walks and watching football.
