Jing Song
Research Associate, Sustainable Investment Program, WRI China
Jing Song is the project manager of WRI Sustainable Investment Program. She leads overall program operation and management for multiple projects including Greening BRI, ETS Policy Impact, Global Climate Governance Model and Trend, International Best Practices on Legal Regulatory Framework of Clean Coal Technology, China-US Think Tank Dialogue on Energy and Climate Change, etc. She had vast work experience on international cooperation projects in the areas of energy policy and law, climate change and energy governance.
Before joining WRI, Jing Song worked with All-China Environmental Federation Legal Center as project officer, leading environmental legal affairs research, capacity building and advocacy to promote China’s environmental legislation and litigation, along with contributing to promote the amendment of Environmental Protection Law and Civil Procedure Law on lawsuit right of Chinese NGOs and environmental public interest litigation in China.
Jing was PILnet international fellow and worked with UNEP New York office.
Jing holds a Ph.D. degree in Economic Law from East China University of Political Science and Law (Shanghai, China), and a master’s degree in Economic Law from Renmin University of China (Beijing). She was the visiting scholar of Columbia Law School (New York, USA).
