Jiaying Lin
Research Analyst, Sustainable Transition Center, WRI China
Jiaying Lin joined WRI China as the Carbon Neutral Cities Research Analyst at the Sustainable Cities Program. She has several years of experience in urban planning, research and design in more than 20 cities and regions. Before joining WRI, she was in UNESCO Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific working on projects regarding science, engineering, technology and innovation (SETI) policy and sustainable development in the region.
In 2021, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation from Technische Universitaet Dresden. Her research is focused on policy research in health and environmental governance. She completed her bachelor’s degree in urban planning and master’s degree in design strategy and management from Tongji University in 2008 and 2013 respectively.
Jiaying enjoys doing yoga, visiting museums, watching movies and standup comedy shows. She is a cat-lover as well.
