Jenny Nelson Gray is the program manager for the Land & Carbon Lab. She has worked in academia and international research-for-development for 15+ years in roles spanning program administration and strategy, communications, event coordination, and fundraising. Before joining WRI in 2023, Jenny worked at the Institute for a Disaster Resilient Texas at Texas A&M University, where she was an associate director supporting the development of the Texas Disaster Information System, an enterprise-level data and model management platform for state and municipal agencies. Previously, she worked at The University of Texas at Austin as a research grand challenge program director and served as the program manager of the Global Wheat Program at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT by its Spanish acronym) in Mexico. She is passionate about working across disciplines to connect ideas, catalyze collaboration, and build systems to capture and communicate stories of impact.

Jenny holds a Master's of Public Administration from Cornell University and a B.A. from Columbia University.

She lives in Bellingham, Washington, with her husband and two daughters.
