Project Specialist, Restore Local

Jean Pierre KALIMUNDA is a Project Specialist at Restore Local, where he provides a day-to-day project management support for the World Resources Institute’s restoration initiatives in Africa, focusing on the Restore Local Project in the Lake Kivu and Rusizi River Basin Landscape (LKR). With over 15 years of experience, he has a strong track record of successfully delivering projects.
Before joining WRI, Jean Pierre served as a Strategic Advisor at Save Generations Organizations (SGO). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various local NGOs and financial institutions in Rwanda, including Transparency International Rwanda and KCB Bank Rwanda. His expertise spans program and project management, quality assurance, Monitoring and Evaluation, organizational development, financial management, and resource mobilization.
Jean Pierre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the National University of Rwanda (UNR) and certified in PRINCE2 project management at both the Foundation and Practitioner levels.
Jean Pierre lives in Kigali –Rwanda with his wife and four children.
