Harsha leads the Energy Access and Equitable Development pillar at the WRI Polsky Energy Center. In this role, Harsha drives strategies that accelerate universal access to clean and affordable energy - with a strong focus on underserved communities, gender and social equity in the global energy transition.

Prior to her current role, Harsha was the Head for Energy and Development at WRI India, where she led the pillar team and oversaw research, partnerships, and program implementation for the Energy for Equitable Development Pillar at the India Energy Program. Before joining WRI, Harsha worked with one of India’s largest infrastructure financing companies in a policy advisory and strategy role and she also worked with India’s leading policy think tank, researching on issues of energy and environmental governance.

Harsha holds a Masters’ in Public Policy from National University of Singapore and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from NMIMS University Mumbai. She is based at the New Delhi office.
