Hannah Harasaki
Project Manager, Connective Mobility

Hannah Harasaki is a Project Manager with WRI’s U.S. Electric School Bus Initiative, where she leads efforts to accelerate New York’s transition to zero-emission school buses. Her work brings together school districts, utilities, manufacturers, and community partners to deploy electric buses while ensuring equitable benefits for students and communities.
Before focusing on school-bus electrification, Hannah served as a Policy Engagement Specialist on WRI’s Carbon Removal and Industrial Innovation team, weaving environmental justice principles into research on emerging climate policies and technologies. Her earlier projects span decarbonization pathways, urban reforestation, and ESG-centered equity analysis, following several years managing operations at an international affairs think tank in San Francisco.
Hannah holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in Global and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
