Gabi is an Intern for the Cities4Forests team. Her work integrates nature-based solutions into city development programs to address climate and water security.

Prior to joining WRI, Gabi had broad experiences in environmental science and sustainability research. During her time at NASA, she analyzed coral reef destruction through remote sensing and took air sampling data while flying on NASA's DC-8. Through working for the vertical farming company Bowery Farming, Gabi studied water-saving technology and designed idealistic conditions to grow salable strawberries indoors.

Gabi holds a B.S. in Physics from Adelphi University on Long Island, where she was awarded for her work in the natural sciences. Now located in Washington, D.C., Gabi is a candidate for a Master's in Sustainability Management from the Kogod School of Business at American University.

She loves to travel, bake cookies or cakes for her friends' birthdays, and spend time with others in nature.
