Farid is a Project Associate working with WRI since November 2022. He works with the Global Restoration Initiative program which seeks to restore degraded land back to economic, social and environmental productivity. As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO), he supports new members’ on-boarding, talent management, project planning, grant delivery, donor reporting, administration and coordination. 

Before joining WRI, Farid worked for several USAID programs assisting marginalized communities and grass-root organizations in Afghanistan to participate in their country’s social and political processes. He managed small grants and development projects for clients including USAID, the World Bank, France Government, and the United Nations. 

Farid holds a master’s degree in Conflict, Governance, and Development from the University of York in the United Kingdom.
