Emmanuel Nkusi is the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist for the Green Accountability Initiative. He leads the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) component of the Green Accountability Initiative.

Emmanuel has 11 years of experience working in planning, monitoring, and evaluation for local and international organisations.

Prior to joining WRI, Emmanuel worked as Results, Impact, and Quality Coordinator for Tearfund Rwanda, ensuring that all programmes, projects, and initiatives adhered to the highest corporate and general industry standards and generated high-quality results and strategic outcomes for the country. Previously, he also worked for other international organisations, such as Search for Common Ground Rwanda as the Design Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator and the Education Development Center (EDC Akazi Kanoze as the Monitoring and Evaluation Associate. He also works for Akazi Kanoze Access (AKA) as the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.

Emmanuel holds a Master of Science in Economics from Kigali Independent University (ULK), a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics from former National University of Rwanda, currently under the name of University of Rwanda.

In his spare time, Emmanuel is a big fan of European football clubs, in particular Manchester United and Real Madrid.
